Kundalini Yoga seems to be a big boost on the journey through the stages of enlightenment. When I was looking at the gazillion yoga teacher training courses offered in Rishikesh – it was KUNDALINI YOGA that really stood out for me. Why? Well, deep inside of me I’ve been searching for ways to advance myself spiritually. Expanding consciousness and enlightenment is absolutely fascinating to me.

In the mundane world occult knowledge is not all that easy to find. It’s considered not real, mythological or the devil’s work. There are some books on the topic. There are some websites on the topic. But to get the actual practice happening in every day life is seemingly a dedicated journey not for the mundane minded.

I’ve had some fascinating experiences that have confirmed exactly what I needed to know to continue my search. Kundalini Yoga seems to be the next step on my journey. Kundalini yoga is a practice that contains the seat of absolute knowledge. The awareness and conscious control of the primordial energy within the human body is considered by the sages and saints to be the highest knowledge. If you look at Chi Gong and Reiki you’ll find that they have this same belief. In fact, throughout the ages the ancient shamans and medicine men practised this moment of energy.

The Kundalini is energy that resides at the base of your spine. With certain energy exercises, poses and intent you can draw this energy up through the spine awakening the seven chakras including the third eye. The movement of energy through the body has felt like warm surging energy and sometimes it even feels like an actual snake moving upwards.

Kundalini Yoga is designed specificially to awaken and arisen the base energy for the purpose of achieving enlightenment.

Kundalini Yoga Teacher

I’m currently on a journey in India to deep my knowledge of Kundalini and a things spiritual. I’m now a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and have a plethora of knowledge and a solid practice working with the energies. Especially because I’m a Reiki Master for 20+ years and have just added this Kundalini practices and knowledge to the energy exercises I was already doing.

The benefits of Kundalini are far more vast than what I had previously understood.

Kundalini Practices

Kundalini practices come from ancient India as the great Yogis knew the benefits for health, personal and spiritual development, as well as necessary on the path to self realisation.

The practices are not limited to yoga poses, certainly not. One must also include a simple vegetarian diet, pranayama, svadhyaya, meditation, chanting, mantras, mudras, energy exercises and shatkarmas.

I’m finding that it takes time to integrate all of these into daily life, but if you’re dedicated to the practice it is possible. It’s now one month after the YTT course and my Kundalini practice seems to be about 30 minutes in the morning for the basic foundation and another 30 in the afternoon. Again, this is a very basic practice. My entire practice is over 4 hours, but that includes quite intense energy exercises.

Kundalini Workshop for Clearing Chakras

In my Kundalini workshops you learn the specific techniques meant for each chakra. We move through each chakra individually so you can feel the energies in that area. It’s really quite a buzz!

When working with chakras you might experience emotions or memories arising, you might feel tingling or warmth and you might even feel like making strange sounds. This is all normal. I’ve pract spontaneous Chi Gong for many years and the result is the same. When stuck energy shifts it likes to make you aware of its presence. So, you just observe the process. It’s important to do this under the guidance of a teacher.
