Personal Development… I love the stuff!
I had a thought the other day, “Hey, wouldn’t it be nice to meet someone in this new town who could share Indigenous knowledge with me.” I love having a yarn (a chat) about Dreamtime Stories and hearing someone’s stories about bush walking or near misses by crocodiles.
Then I held that thought and added some juicy good emotions to flair up a feeling of success.
The next day I went to the IGA, as you do, and grabbed some Camembert cheese, rocket leaves and juice. The Indigenous man at the checkout was open and chatty. I asked him where he got his ring from – it looked homemade. His Dad used to work in a copper mine.
Then I asked him about the Lightning mob and what that actually meant. I told him a bit about my journey North-er, took my groceries and lept into the van. A few seconds later I lept out of the van with the intention of wanting to yarn (chat) more with this fellow because he was upbeat, interesting and eager to share.
Yup, I walked away with his phone number and John and I spent the follow day chatting and fishing.
Now, I can GUARANTEE that if I had any negative thinking about meeting new people this situation could not happen. I would remain stuck. I wouldn’t learn new things or meet new people.
Boy, oh boy… I’m grateful for personal development…. using my knowledge of it I met this fellow.
You see, I used to be shy. I had no friends in grade school – well, until the teacher matched me with the new girl. So, making friends and meeting new people didn’t come naturally to me. Yet, here I am meeting new people at the local grocery store!
John has some juicy stories!! (But those aren’t my stories so I won’t share them).
And it’s amazing how easy it is to activate a form of positivity and get a good vibe happening. Good vibes create some pretty amazing situations! All you have to do is think about something that makes you feel positivity (which ever form you choose) and then allow yourself to FEEL good.
Personal development and positivity go hand-in-hand. Personal development is learning how to become aware of your thoughts, beliefs and emotions and being able to change them as you wish to create a life you love. Positivity is one of the upbeat vibes you can activate.
I love this stuff so much that I have online courses about it. I use everything in my course daily – one technique or the other – it’s always in use in my life. And I love my life! 🙂
