I’ve chosen a handy compact methylated spirit stove to do all my cooking while camping and travelling in the Australian bush.
Broc at Outback Touring Solutions is quite crafty with designing 4wd drawers, but he has also made this little stove out of a stainless steel drink bottle. I also purchased one on Ebay, although the one I purchased there (at the time of publishing this blog) is not on Ebay now.
Cooking with a methylated spirit stove is easy and cheap. Methylated spirits only cost $4 a bottle at a reject or cheap shop.
You pour a little bit in the stove and then light it. When the flames start coming out of the little holes in the side put a pot or your kettle on. I easily cook breakfast and boil the kettle in one go.
